I’m afraid Ed Jr. jumped the shark a long time ago.

Joel Osteen, TD Jakes, Brian Houston, Jentezen Franklin, & Joseph Prince….what an all star lineup of weak and heretical preachers. Ed Young is a joke all under the guise of being relevant. What a shame.

I like it. It’s creative, unusual, and fun. It’s not the typical ad for a conference, but I believe it’s effective. I personally don’t care much for the theology of ( especially) Jakes, Prince, and Franklin, but they probably wouldn’t agree with some of my theological positions either.

I want these guys to be what they are touted as, but where is the Gospel? Topical motivational speaking with no real understanding of the Gospel is what is wrong with most of the mega church pastors and their flocks today. I am not trying to dis them or be rude, I just wish they would actually provide a solid instruction instead of just being hip and relevant AKA appeasing the masses.

And the winner of my “Just Wow” award is….

I think it is sad. The church is losing its way. Where is the honor at for our wonderful Lord Jesus. Fool activities will never win the masses.

Some of you guys need to chill out.
You will know them by their fruit.
So its a bit foolish…who cares?
If the world was meant to be serious all the time, God would not have invented the Platypus…sheesh.

Wow…couldn’t make it past the first 15 seconds. Michael Scott on “The Office” does a much better rap parody.

What a fool. I’m just glad that this guy isn’t in charge of a church or anything.
...
Oh, noes!

Ed’s just having some fun trying to get fellow pastors and leaders to go to a conference. Some of the most creative things that have come out of the church in the past 10 years have come from the church he leads. Why not a silly rap song? It’s not conventional but then again either is Ed.

In light of the recent scrutiny on his finances, it seems unwise (and maybe a little arrogant) for him to be strutting around with a huge $ hanging around his neck . . .

I thought this was funny.

Funny !!! some of us need to chill out, wow !! I was lost half of my life and I sure am going to be serious about the Lord for the rest of what I have left. We are to be light in darkness. I used to go see black sabbath and all the hard rockers of the 70’s and 80’s, I have no time for such things anymore, I have to meet my Lord one day with what I have done with my life. People need help, people are lost. I live in the gulf region and people here are hurting and need more than such as this, there is no chill, Katrina now the Oil spill in this area where I am from there is only lost hope. Instead of dancing and rapping get Bro. Ed down here and lets get to helping this Gulf Coast.

Lighten up, folks! Ed and his church are doing plenty to share the gospel and meet needs in their community and around the world. Just spend five minutes on the church’s website and you’ll figure that out.
Am I suspicious of his spending habits? Just a bit. Am I crazy about this video? No.
But I will not question his motives/theology/character because of one dumb video.
