    Funeral for a Fish

Time is short for our Friday funnies today, and I don't remember where I first saw this. I can relate though... there have been many times as a parent (particularly earlier in my parenting career) that things like this happened... and they are great memories. Take a look at this and see if it makes you smile:

I’m pretty sure there’s some incorrect theology in that video, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

A grief counselor might tell us that was pretty healthy for the girl.

Our first dead pet was a beta fish. When it died I wanted to flush it but my 5 yr old said NO, YOU BURY HER! She was upset and adamant about that. So I took the shovel, scooped a load of dirt from under a tree, and laid the fish to rest. Daughter was much better. Yes, she wanted asmall scripture reading, so we did it.  Went back in the house, and our dog dug the fish up and was playing with it on the porch. Then she rolled on it.

Best video I’ve seen for a long time.  I sent it too all my friends and kids who have pets.  It’s great!

When my daughter was about 7, we had to chemically destroy a beehive which was attached to our house.  After which Joy went out and buried all the bees.  There were approximately 20 to 30 little graves with crosses on them made out of toothpicks.  She was praying and we were so touched that she thought to do that.

It’s no coincidence that I saw “Flushed Away” earlier today and now this video! There’s a whole lotta flushing going on! Good Job Myra you’re a smart girl!
