Every once in a while, I see something that makes me shake my head. This is definitely one of them. It's called, The Wedding Income Toolkit for Ministers. You know when it starts out like this: "You deserve a raise, but why wait for someone else to give it to you when you can give it to yourself" that it just can't be good.

But before you buy... head this warning from the website: Warning: Please Do NOT pursue just any business opportunity. There are so many things that come along promising so much but delivering so little. This system really works and it is a smooth fit for Ministers of all kinds. Regardless of what you were taught in Bible college or seminary , you owe it to yourself, your family, and your church to be a wise steward of your resources, talents, and current assets and make the most of them. The Wedding Income Toolkit for Ministers and Officiates is a seamless way to do that.

The author/huckster claims degrees from Liberty University, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary...

So, then I take it that you highly recommend this book?

      *snicker*

I just don’t ever recall you being so fervently against anything. Cool.

The sad thing is that I know so many ministers who are desperate enough to read this one :(

This kit isn’t truly enough to retire on, however, unless you also subscribe to the “Resurrection Health Plan” product discount club where you can personally buy nutritional supplements at wholesale prices and then choose whther or not to start your own “foyer based” nutrition ministry by providing these essential supplements to your entire congregation at discount prices…

Reading this is a desperate move. If this book sells, I will really be surprise.

This book sounds more like something a wedding coordinator would be interested in.  I don’t know any senior pastors who have the time to basically coordinate weddings.

Just out of curiosity, I went to Amazon.com, the book doesn’t even come up.

Honestly, thought this was mislabeled category wise…Should it not be in the humour section?  (yes, that is how we spell humour in Canada) http://www.mondaymorninginsight.com/images/smileys/smile.gif

Will you end up being like the wedding coordinator in Father of the Bride?

Wow…lots of cynicism around. I agree it sounds hokey and the guy could be a huckster, no doubt. But I perform weddings and will tell you it’s a butt load of work. Resources and ideas for laying things out could help. Anyway…
