It’s Getting Nasty in Grapevine.  Ed Young, Jr. the Target of Local Media Investigation

It’s Getting Nasty in Grapevine.  Ed Young, Jr. the Target of Local Media Investigation

It's been a joke that I've heard for many years... Ed Young and his notorious Hummer.  But it's not the Hummer that is causing Ed problems (at least locally) these days, it's the alleged private jet that he's not telling anyone about...

Why do things need to become so complicated and non-transparent?  Why the need to set up so many companies and identities?  And why the skirting around questions when they are asked?  Many have fallen over such things.  I hope Ed is not the next.

    More here...

When people worship their celebrity pastor it really doesn’t matter. They would kill their best friends to defend him.

We need to be in pray for the leaders and pastors in the churches…i to am part of that group never been a so called mega church pastor myself….my level is allot smaller but not with out challange everyday…....I really like the two links on feb. 10 i think one by cs….and another by ds posted….i looked at both view points…...and I am going to be in prayer for Bro. Ed….the enemy of our souls as leaders will target effective leadership for a total take down….all the devil wants is to harm reputation and effectiveness in the body…..We all need to pray more than we speculate some times….as they say there is more than one side to a story…..I am instructed by the word to pray for my fellow brothers and sisters in the body of Christ…...I pray that the churches greatest revival is still ahead….I think that is true…Amen.

ED YOUNG AND HIS HALF TRUTH:

That aircraft is owned by Medill Corporation. It traces back to Ed Young as the principal through several other entities. The church is making the lease purchase payment on the aircraft. He only uses the lease word on stage and not purchase(evasive and deceitful). Ed paid $11.4 Million via a lease with a $1.00 Residual Buy Out for the aircraft at the end of the lease. He then wrapped the transaction in a “shell game” lease company that he owns set up as a Delaware Trust based in Texas. At the end of the lease, the congregation just bought Ed a jet. The only problem is N188FJ is a 1988 Model Falcon 50 that is now worth no more than 4.5 Million(Not the $8.4 Million the news reported. The news reported it as a 2002 Model and that is incorrect. Medill Corporation makes the payment to GE Capital each month. Is this the best use of the Lord’s money? The pilots that work for Brad Harris at Dallas Jet International(The management company for the jet based at Alliance Airport) that crew the aircraft have always known the aircraft is a secret. Alliance is highly secure and private compared to the other airports in this part of North Texas. Just call Brad Harris to confirm. He will give you the same half truth as Ed did on stage on who owns the aircraft. It is no secret that it is a secret and always has been. Here is the registration straight from the FAA Records:

This aircraft will be owned by ED YOUNG’S “SHELL” company, Medill for $1.00 at the end of the lease. ALL COMPLIMENTS OF THE FELLOWSHIP CHURCH. The aircraft costs the church over $1,000,000.00 per year currently with insurance, pilots, hangar, and repairs. Hmmm, now that’s not exactly as Ed put it on stage. There is no transparency at Fellowship because Ed owns the church and he won’t allow it. That is specifically against the way the New Testament insists that a church should be structured. It should not be owned by the Pastor. A church is owned by the membership but NOT AT ED YOUNG’S CHURCH. IT IS ALL SETUP WRONG AND IT IS FOR PROFIT BUSINESS THAT HE HAS CONVINCED HIMSELF IS SET UP CORRECTLY. LET ME KNOW HOW THAT IS WORKING FOR FELLOWSHIP CHURCH. WHAT A TURN OFF FOR SOMEONE LOOKING TO FIND CHRIST. ALL OVER A STUPID AIRPLANE AND A BIG HOUSE. ED YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!

So will the airplane become Ed Young’s property or Fellowship Church’s property and the end of the lease?

      Half-truths indeed, apparently.

As a quick side note to the discussion here, let me pose a question.  It *seems* there is a signifigant sentiment that pastors/church leaders should not be wealthy, or live like it.  Namely it seems that pastors should not aquire wealth while being a pastor.

If a person aquired great wealth in the business world, then later in life surrendered to a life of ministry, would it be acceptable then for that person to have a large house, money, investments etc.??

I know it’s easy to read into comments on a blog, but the question is sincere.

    7. JOB on Mon, February 15, 2010

      Brad,

I don’t think anyone should attain wealth in the name of the Gospel, the scenario you describe is different.

    8. Fred on Mon, February 15, 2010

I think it may be OK if they were already wealthy…if they sell all that they have and give it to the poor. smile

Dear folks, I recommend doing a YouTube search of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to have higher insight into what audience hypnotism-control Ed Young does on his viewers.  He walks left, he walks right, he walks back, he walks forward.  He puts his toes over the edge of the stage.  (Will he fall?) He stands back, heels together, feet at 90 degrees.  All these odd mannerisms captivate and control an audience.  (song&dance;)

It’s just like a Las Vegas hypnotism stage show, but in Vegas the performer explains what is happening.  Preachers who use the same discovered mannerisms, NEVER explain their wiles.

Instead, they hold pastors’ conferences (i.e. C3) with other NLP pastors (T.D. finish-my… finish my…. finish my…. SENTENCE! Jakes) to jack up emotions and say “GOWD is in de’ HOUSE!” when it is more likely just jabberwocky emotionalism.

There is a reason why orthodox pastors stand behind a pulpit and use minimal hand motions.  There is a reason why Ed Young just the pendulum walk and a zillion crazy motions and clown-faces.

The orthodox pastor constrains himself to his words, as that self-restraint guarantees he doesn’t hiddenly enslave the audience through wicked demagoguery.  If he did, then his blinded sheep would be prey to the next wile-politician!  (Like Obama, who speaks in a pendulum voice:  High, pause, low; high, pause, low; high, pause, low—learned from Jeremiah Wright!)

But Ed Young has done a perfect job with what I call Hamster-Pipe Preaching ... back-and-forth until donors “clock-out” and cash in to his cult-persona worship!

      Oh, congregation,
        Please! Let me now repent!
      A nightmare I had,
In a dream I was sent!

I was in a large, clear, acrylic, hamster-pipe: preaching!
Walking, as I do, left to right,
A veritable pendulum of Neuro-Linguistic hypnotism,
Creating in your minds: great blight!

      Hamster-pipe hidden shenanigans,
Walking, talking, motioning in cadence to and fro!
      Talking straw man rapture villains,
Wile-jabber-prophet mystic tyranny, dont you know!

      Like a weak-glued pencil,
        The point always breaks,
      Only those outside church,
        See my feigns and fakes!

      A playwright or a director,
Or a person of reasonable firmness,
Would see your brain: I hector,
The point being: I remove souls sureness!

And then: dont touch Gods anointed!
But Gods anointed dont use witchcraft shenanigans!
Amen? Agree? Clap hands? Give in?
Western Enlightened see thru me!  I stop all bragging!

      Ive been a hamster-pipe preacher!
Stuck in a very stupefying, narrow vein!
Trying to make minds: more narrow,
Calling my mind-raping squirrel cage: born again!

God, in my dream, showed me,
How beautiful a mind can be!
      Free and creative!  Loving!
Not bound up: worshipping dumb me!

In my dream God cut a hole,
        In my fear-greed-slouch pipe!
I had to repent to you,
That step out: free, I might!

      Now, Fuzzy Wuzzee, my hamster,
That was my dream within a dream!
Id NEVER repent to my church!
No, NEVER!  Know what I mean?

Fuzzy Wuzzee, you say to me,
        Surely, you cant be serious,
      And I, your master grandee,
        Say, youre gonna love this!

      DONT CALL ME SHIRLEY!
Tee hee!  Hee hee! Ho ho!  Fuzzy, I love you!
      Im cuckoo for brain-conning!
Im having fun!  And my sheep! Arent you?

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus says the LORD, Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; And you will find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it. —New American Standard Bible

Jeremiah 48:10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.
