I love how he never took his suit off.

I thought it was hilarious that he slept in his suit.  I’ve known some pastors that must have been born in a suit because they never wore anything else.  Great Video!

My favorite is the two kids, one baptizing her doll and the other hiding a theology book or bible or something behind a comic book.

      Hilarious.

“Pastors like words no one uses in modern day language…”

      Funny.

That one is practically too close to reality to be humorous.  I’m not speaking of the suit, either.

No, the best is that the PHONE is still ringing at his gravesite.  That will be too true in my case….

I actually watched this the week before you posted it, Todd.  Pastor’s wives tend to pass this stuff around.

I thought some of it was humorous, but I love that we are in ministry.  The phone ringing and the cold dinners gave me a chuckle.

But I would be thrilled if one of my “babies” grew up to be a pastor.  So it kind of bugged too.  I think being in ministry is one of the highest privileges ever!

To be honest, I am a pastor as well and I am the one in the suit.  I too would be thrilled to have my son or daughter grow up and become pastors, nothing wrong with that.  If you recall the original lyrics, it actually romantizies cowboys.   My intention in writing is not about dissing our profession, but rather to wake it up to its potential impact.  We need authentic relevant leaders with non judgemental hearts.  Is it too much to also ask for balance?

I loved it ~ my family is very important and individual time is made for each ~ I am blessed, 4 of my 6 children are pastors.
