Here are a couple of my favorites:

“He that but looketh on a plate of ham and eggs to lust after it hath already committed breakfast with it in his heart”—CS Lewis

“Did you really think that you could call up the devil and ask him to behave?”—Fox Mulder - The X Files

There’s more to life than finding the closest parking space.

Life is a collection of moments.

Tell a person they smell good if they used to smell bad. (Was just told this one today)

      Extend a hand… extend a heart.

Tell me just say to no to sex and watch me end up a mom.

Someone’s most creative moment on earth comes no where close to being God.

      I’ll stop there… lol

Even when it don’t feel good, He is still good!

Some say the glass is half-empty, some say the glass is half-full, I say the glass has been designed twice as big as it needs to be!

    6. DanielR (a different Daniel) on Fri, August 24, 2007

“You can never have a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.”  John Wooden

Intelligence: the ability to make finer distinctions on a subject.

In Texas we have a saying about people who are not really what they claim to be, whether it be real cowboys, true Christians, or anything else.  We say “He’s all hat, no cattle.”

      DanielR,

LOL! I’m a Texan and have lived here all my life ‘cept one year. I had to ask my hubby - who has never lived anywhere else - if he knew that last saying. He did… The difference between him knowing it and not me…. I grew up in the city and he - in the country.

Does that mean I’m not a REAL Texan? LOL!

      Have a great Friday!

100% of the people you don’t invite to church don’t come.

Missing the kindness of God usually is much more about our heart than our intelect.

Whenever life presents you an opportunity to show honor to someone, take it.

      My favorite sayings are these:

      1. Perception is reality

      2. Always error on the side of grace and mercy!

    10. Randy Ehle on Fri, August 24, 2007

An original:  If you’re not free to fail, you’ll never be free to take the risks needed to really succeed.

    11. Mark on Mon, August 27, 2007

The grass may be greener on the other side of the fence but if you watered and cared for your side, it would be just as green!!

If you are not meeting Satan every day, you could be heading the same way he is.

    13. Steve Cuss on Mon, August 27, 2007

      I’ll chime in with two:

      1) In the absence of information, people connect the dots in the most pathological way possible.

      2) If its not worth doing, its not worth doing well.

      Steve

    14. Sam Estes on Mon, August 27, 2007

      Nothing hurts more than pain!

    15. Donny Prater on Tue, August 28, 2007

I came up with this one a while back:

“Whatever breaks your heart will lead you to your calling”
