As we've mentioned here before, there's been so much blog reaction to the Willow Creek Reveal study. Much good. Much bad. Bradley R. E. Wright has done a great job a sharing his thoughts on Reveal from a little different point of view. Bradley is an associate professor at the University of Connecticut. His main area of study is the sociology of Christianity. And it's from that framework and background that he gives a really nice (and different) observation of the Reveal results. You can read his very interesting 11-part series here. (It's worth the read)...

I find Brad to be someone who is insightful and creative. I regularly visit his sight. I am never disappointed. His series on Reveal was excellent.

The series from Brad helped fill in a few blank spots for me. As one who listened to Greg Hawkins present the findings for my church, I came away with little more than small groups are not the ultimate solution, and that to avoid stalled Christians, a church needs to make sure they can feed themselves. While I’m sure this is true, it would be helpful to actually see the movement of people along the spiritual continuum, rather than a snapshot in time.
