    The Ten Commandments for Cowboys

    1.  Just one God.
    2.  Honor yer Ma & Pa.
    3.  No telling tales or gossipin’.
    4.  Git yourself to Sunday meeting.
    5.  Put nothin’ before God.
    6.  No foolin’ around with another fellow’s gal.
    7.  No killin’.
    8.  Watch yer mouth
    9.  Don’t take what ain’t yers.
    10.  Don’t be hankerin’ for yer buddy’s stuff.

This comes from the Bible Belt Blogger... it's the ten commandments translated out of the 'original' King James version specifically for cowboys. Seems to make sense to me (and I'm not even a cowboy)...

Oh, THOSE Cowboys. I’mathinkin’ it would work for both kinds we have here in Texas.

Heck, it works for me. I’m in the country but not of the country. Hubby is a cross between a Cowboy and a City boy. He wears boots with his suits as well as his jeans. It is quite normal to see men wearing cowboy hats at our church. Had a few folks recently leave our church for a Cowboy church nearby. It’s all good in the family.

Now about those OTHER Cowboys…. Don’t get me started.
