I laughed out loud at the ‘encouragement sandwich’. I once worked for a guy who would rake you over the coals one minute, and then leave a heart-shaped candle on your desk the next.

Very funny, “the devil’s in the details” reminded me of my former pastor, actually most of them did. The encouragement sandwich reminds me of when the Pastor “has you for lunch”.
