Check Out Granger’s New Website!

As many of you know, one of my favorite churches is Granger Community Church in Granger, IN.  They strive for excellence in everything they do; and they are being very effective in their goal of helping people “take their next step toward Christ.”

Today, Granger premiered their brand new website, and it looks great!  If you've never had the opportunity to visit Granger, be sure to check out some of their media that will give you an idea of the flavor of all things Granger.

Here's the URL:  http://www.gccwired.com

I like their new design for one main reason... it serves both the regular attender and the person that is casually checking out their website.  A person will be able to visit their website and get a good feeling for what to expect when attending.  Should be a real plus for their ministry there.

FOR DISCUSSION:  Is anyone out there aware of any churches really doing a lot of web-based ministry... be it websites, email newsletters, blogs, whatever?  What effect has it had on your ministry?

    QUESTIONS FOR COMMENTS:
Is anyone out there aware of any churches really doing a lot of web-based ministry… be it websites, email newsletters, blogs, whatever?

There are many but mostly it’s the large churches taking steps.  I think it’s because small churches have limited funds and many times limited time so not allot is done with a web site.  What many don’t realize is it doesn’t cost much and because of administrative tools much of a web site admin can be assigned to individuals in the congregation that has an interest.

I actually did my first web site for the Bible College I attended 93-95.  I now help businesses and organizations (churches), get online.
I hope you don’t mind Todd but if there are any churches looking for a great, inexpensive way to get online, a fully automated CMS system is only $75/year (upgrades are inexpensive too and custom design is competitively priced).

Purchase online at http://www.acumeninvestors.com and feel free to reach me at if you have any questions about a web site for your church or ministry.

What effect has it had on your ministry?
As an example, this blog and many sites like PDL has, have migrated to the Internet and it really makes information available at the fingertips.  What a great opportunity.  Place your sermons online, create a blog, calendar, photo albums, and take donations online.

I have several cutting edge churches listed in the right-hand column of my blog under the category “innovative communities.”
