I have to admit... when I told my wife that I had agreed to review the new book of former mob boss Michael Franzese, the first thing she told me was to say only good things about it.

Michael Franzese was once the target of multiple city, state, and federal law enforcement agencies with one goal – bring down the man they considered one of the biggest money earners for organized crime since Al Capone. The Mafia's youngest and most financially powerful new superstar was the son of legendary Colombo Family underboss John "Sonny" Franzese. His criminal Empire spanned multiple businesses, gambling operations, movie production, white collar crime, and enough volume to earn $6-8 million dollars a week at the height of his career. If that isn't the basis for a great book, I don't know what is...

Think the mob isn’t really all that big any more? Michael says “"Anyone who sells the mob short when it comes to its ingenuity, its ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and its substantial profit margins is simply kidding themselves.”

His new book entitled “I’ll Make You an Offer You Can’t Refuse” has a definite business bent to it; and has a great message of Michael’s story of coming out of the mob and his new quest for real integrity in business and in life. As Michael puts it… ““You can’t escape the long arm of the law—and you sure can’t escape the longer arm of the Lord.”

And there are tons of stories about the mob and the inner workings of those involved. It’s a fascinating read about a real life Tony Soprano… only this one has a great ending!
