Here are some hilarious new videos that are making the rounds this week. They are set as spoofs of the popular NBC public service announcements "The More You Know". Check these out. I particularly thought the Hummer and the Body ones were good; but they are all funny...

Post Your Comments:About the Hummer one… too sad that it is not a parody but the truth in many cases. The guy should have added “as long as you tithe 10% to the church, you can buy whatever you want with the rest… God wants to bless you and Jesus promised you the abundant life.” TD Jakes and Joel Osteen could sponsor the video, and TBN would be proud to air it..

The Attendance one surprised me but made me laugh the loudest. Always good to laugh first thing in the morning!

Todd- I was. I made a joke, just like the hummer video. Did you think I was serious? My comment could have been taken seriously, just like the Hummer video. Like they say at Slice of Laodicea-- it’s hard to parody because the parody is already true.

I loved the Tithing video. That was pretty funny. Not on the same scope but has anyone seen the new Dunkin’ Donuts spots? No spiritual value at all but two of them are pretty hilarious.

I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry at some of this stuff. And that’s what makes it good parody. If you only want to laugh, you don’t get it. If you only want to cry, you don’t get it either. If you’re not sure which one to do, you are good at parody.
