Today’s Buzz: Rick and Hillary; Pastor Vows to Take Over Microsoft; and more…

There's lots of news from over the weekend, especially in the televangelist camps... stuff from Randy White, Juanita Bynum, Richard Roberts, Robert A. Schuller, and Rick Warren. (What's up with all that?) Plus, we'll hear about a pastor who plans to take over Microsoft; telling their shareholders that he will be their 'worst nightmare' if they continue to defy him...

Lots of news in the televangelist world today… not sure why… but just in case you’re interested:

I Don’t Feel No Ways Tired
That was the name of the song song Sunday at Without Walls Church in Tampa as Randy White told his congregation that he wasn’t going to quit.  Last week, White’s assistant sent an e-mail to church members saying the pastor would address “the hard issues and allegations that have been reported by the media in recent months.” The church’s 4,000-seat sanctuary was about 70 percent full at both morning services, compared with the thinner crowds that have been coming recently.  SOURCE

My Life Was in Turmoil Anyway...
Her life was in turmoil. Her marriage was failing. Her estate in a Duluth country club was headed for foreclosure.  And when she lost her $2.5 million home with the prayer room that gave her a quiet place to soothe her spirit, national evangelist Juanita Bynum says she wept for two days.  In a two-part series appearing in the December issue of Essence magazine, Bynum talks frankly about losing her home, living in her church and the tumultuous years that she says led to the alleged attack in the hotel parking lot on Aug. 21 that broke up her marriage to Bishop Thomas W. ORU Official Says He’ll Quit if Roberts Returns
Oral Roberts University’s executive vice president of academic affairs and provost offered his resignation to the board of regents on Thursday if the board decides to keep Richard Roberts as president.  Mark Lewandowski wrote regents Chairman George Pearsons that he “would be pleased to continue to serve” in his job if Roberts resigns or is not reinstated, according to his letter first obtained by The Associated Press.  SOURCE

The Robert in the middle — the Rev. Robert A. Schuller — at the age of 53, has come into his own as one of America’s most familiar TV pastors. With chiseled good looks and a disarming smile, he is senior pastor of the longtime international TV ministry made famous by its towering Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif., with its 10,000 panes of glass and massive windows that open to a parking lot where a few people may still sit in their cars and watch a worship service. Rick Warren Invites Hillary to Saddleback… and she Accepts
Hillary Clinton will appear at noted pastor Rick Warren’s evangelical church later this month to take part in Warren’s increasingly popular Global Summit on AIDS and the Church. Officials at Warren’s Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., said Sen. Clinton was the first of six presidential candidates invited to confirm participation. The summit - hosted by Warren, author of the best-selling “The Purpose Driven Life” and his wife, Kay - will be held Nov. 27 through Dec. 1. “I commend Rick and Kay Warren for their work to fight HIV/AIDS,” Sen. Clinton said in a statement. “Our churches have a powerful role to play in raising the consciousness of the nation and the world to this pandemic and urge compassion for the sick and the suffering.  SOURCE

Pastor Vows to Take Over Microsoft
A black conservative Christian pastor of an evangelical megachurch has vowed to take over Microsoft by packing it with new shareholders who will vote against the company’s policy of championing gay rights. The Reverend Ken Hutcherson, a former Dallas Cowboys linebacker, heads the Antioch Bible Church in Redmond, home of Microsoft.  He told Microsoft executives at a shareholders’ meeting last week that he would be their “worst nightmare” if they continued to defy him.  SOURCE

    I’m down for the cause…
    It’s time the church stood up for what’s right and stop looking the other way on what’s wrong. Homosexuality is still a sin no matter how much the society is calling it an alternative lifestyle. God created men to be with women and women to be with men, not the other way around.

    Its sad, you’ll never see a gay or lesbian animal. I never seen a male dog going around with another male dog. Why can’t the human race get it together?

    God destroyed a whole city because of their immorality. (Sodom and Gommorah) but yet America is accepting this lifestyle. No other country allows this sinful behavior but the United States of America.

    What happened to this country that was built upon Biblical principles?

    God said these people will not inherit the kingdom of God: 1 Cor. 6:9 “9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,”

    The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans writes about popular sins, particularly that of homosexuality, which he says comes as a direct result of rejecting the evidence of creation and refusing to believe in the Creator.
    Romans 1:  18: For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
    19: Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
    20: For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
    21: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
    22: Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
    23: And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
    24: Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
    25: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
    26: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
    27: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
    28: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
    29: Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
    30: Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
    31: Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
    32: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. 

    Our war is not only with Mircrosoft but with many churches and pastors that allow them in leadership positions within the church…

    Paul instructed Timothy to war a good warfare (1 Tim. 1:18)…
    I have faith if the body of Christ would take a stand then the devil and his evil spirits would flee…

    I say “THANK YOU”, Sen. Grassley for launching an investigation into these televangelists’ finances!  I’m sure they will call it an attack of Satan, but it’s about time someone intervened.

    I am not believing my ears.  I don’t need to have a summit with “so-called leaders” who are in complete and direct conflict with not only my principles, but the Word of God, to determine where I will stand on election day.  Most televangelist are good motivators and drwa big crowds, but the Bible teaches that the right way is less travel and few there be that go therein.  There can be no person who should be further from our consideration as Christians than the whole of the Clinton sham and scam.  in my opinion, impressed upon my heart by the Spirit of Almighty God, most of the televangelist/mega-church leaders, have little power to truly lead a sooul into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  They may lead them, but not to Jesus.  After earnestly and fervently praying about this very crucial matter, I feel impressed of God to, as a pastor, to throw my every effort behind Mike Huckabee for President in 2008.  Likewise, I wish Mike would not seek the recognition and association with people as Kenneth Copeland.  It is amazing to me, that world renoun religous leaders of today are such self-centered, egotisitical idiots.  They add struggle to the cause of Christ and will one day give an account of it.
