This week's "Would You Rather" question is pretty simple... Would you rather each person on your staff was stricken with body odor or bad breath? Be sure to think about the ramifications of each (not only for you, but for your church), then let us know which you'd pick...
Actually, I bet there are some people out there who have had to deal with a staff person with either bad breath or body odor (or both). How did you deal with it?
Love to hear your comments on this one…

Bad breath because it is much easier to offer someone a breath mint or gum than deodorant!
Bad Breath...because it is not as pungent as body odor. You can back away from bad breath but body odor can contaminate a larger area.
Yep - bad breath is much easier to tell someone about, not likely to be taken personally.
Wendi
Bad breath, and leave a bottle of listerine in their box.
If you ever go to a mission field in a developing country, get prepared for hanging out with a bunch of godly people who smell like the devil. Deodorant and soap can be a luxury for some.
Old Testament men say bad breath.
My breath is strange… Job 19:17
I’ll take neither. If you’re a good friend, you’ll say something…
But if you held a gun to my head (I love these posts), I’ll take bad breath, too.
My Jr. High director has bad breath, Really bad. But I think it would be far more distracting for him to have B.O. I have to go with Bad Breath.
I have people give me both gum and deodorant all the time. I must have some really good friends.
Bad breath… That’s why I keep a supply of mints and candy at my desk.
I have had to deal with both and getting people to take care of the breath is easier. Both may be problems that need more than a cover-up. Be honest ask them to see a doctor.
As long as the breath doesn’t smell like BO, I’ll take bad breath. I worked with someone once who had an aversion to showering. It was not pleasant.
Yeah bad breath!
As an usher you get both!
I had some men who had really bad odour at the church I attended and they were even ushers as well and it was a real put off…
Visit http://www.closys.com, it has quickly relief my bad breath problem.
Bad breath, definitely. That can be handled on-site. It’s relatively common...and people who are clueless about body odor are generally not the sharpest tools in the shed to begin with. Not saying they’re dumb...but most BO problems aren’t that hard to address...so, if they’re not aware of it...it doesn’t say a lot for their level of perception.
