Dinner with Perry Noble at Fatz Cafe

As I was finishing up my world famous “Calabash Chicken”, (which was great, by the way); a young man came up and introduced himself to Perry and said, “Hey, man, I just wanted to let you know that I accepted Christ and was baptized at New Spring… and I just wanted to let you know how much your church has meant to me.”

After the young man left, Perry said that this happens to him all around town… people… people that he doesn’t even know, are often approaching him and saying that they accepted Christ because of NewSpring Church.  Now that’s amazing!  And it’s what drives Perry, and Jason, and the entire staff and congregation of NewSpring… It’s no wonder they are so passionate about reaching their community for Christ.

I’ll share more about my experience here in SC as soon as I can… probably next week.  I have some great stories to share from a couple of churches that I was able to visit.  I had the opportunity to meet with a couple of really sharp pastors… and I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned and observed.

And I’m sure today will be a great day of learning even more!  And I’m hoping to meet some MMI readers today as well!

There are over 900 people confirmed for this conference, and what's amazing is that Perry told me that their marketing budget for Unleash was $0! Word of the conference spread from word of mouth from just a handful of blogs. (Now that's cool!). But, by far, I think the best part of the evening was this...
