Ever Do This While You’re Preaching?

Check out this reporter.  Evidently he gets a little frustrated when his words don't come out right.  I'm wondering if any of you have ever lost your cool while preaching.  Gotten ticked.  Lost control.  Thrown something.

In my first church we rented a school in a pretty distressed area and it was not safe to send kids to the bathrooms alone.  My son who was 4 at the time tugged on my shirt during the last song and said…“Daddy I got to go pee pee”  I motioned to our worship leader to keep going on the last song till I got back.

We got in the bathroom and the power of suggestion took over for me.  I decided I needed to go as well.  So there we were, father and son, side by side doing their business.

My son finished before me and when he did he reached out to grab the dirty urinal with his bare hands.  I moved my hand to prevent this and in doing.  This was also the same hand that was holding my shirt up out of the way.

Yup, you get the picture.  My shirt dropped right in front of the stream and I peed all over my shirt.  I had 90 second before I had to go in front of the entire church and deliver my sermon.

While not a technical difficulty, it certainly was a huge difficulty.  Thinking quickly, I plugged the sink with paper towels and then told my son to hit the faucet hard.  He did and it covered me in water from the head to my knees.

I washed my shirt out quickly and when I stood in front of the church I said, my son splashed me.

      Todd:

I think something is missing here.  I’m not seeing a video or a link to anything.
