The Bishop is planning a comeback with a new church called “The Prophet’s House”.
Meanwhile, Juanita is trying to re-build her fortress by offering pay-per-view programming on her website and a new talk show.
Yet, the Bishop says he doesn’t talk with Juanita anymore; but keeps her ‘in prayer constantly’.

It's been a tough couple of years for Juanita Bynum and Bishop Weeks. First the fight in the hotel parking lot; the divorce; the financial pleas; the bishop getting evicted from his mega campus... let's face it... it hasn't been a good year or so.
And things still are stinking if you're them. Juanita recently filed for bankruptcy. She's more than $5.25 million in debt to Jaguar Credit, the IRS. She lost her Waycross compound that housed her lake view residence, her private sanctuary, and her sales and distribution center. As for the good Bishop, he's finishing his second year on probation, and his attendance is down to less than half what it was when things were heavenly with Juanita as his wife. Oh, and he was evicted from his mega campus after being behind $400k in rent...

our church is praising the Lord this morning because yesterday we had an all time record attendance of 62. we have no debt. the church building is over 100 years old. it is a 1 room clapboard structure that looks like it belongs in “Little House on the Prairie”. behind the church are 2 porta-potties and beyond that a cemetery. last summer we had a baptism in the Columbia River and 14 people were baptised. we are preparing for another baptism service once the water warms up. we have the resources in the bank to buy land and build more buildings, but that is not what God has called us to do. instead, our resources go to missions, the poor, and being faithful to whatever God places in our path. Pastor Rick wrote, “A churches health is not determined by its seating cpacity but by its sending capacity”

I think I said the same thing as Bob—just not as eloquent. I used a long parable to state the obvious. In some ways I feel sorry for those that pastor huge mega churches. They must be under a lot of pressure & stress. I work to find time to meet with everyone that needs ministered to—I have no idea how a mega church pastor can keep up with their schedule and still have time to minister & meet needs. I hold them up in prayer.

With the amount of debt they both now owe, I can envision a reconciliation, and then a God revealed new “ministry” to teach others how to reconcile their marital differences. Just think of the possibilities of another ministry to the distressed marital couples that need to send for their tapes, etc. It could be marketed as a “miracle” cure for distressed marriages that Jesus reveals to them to take (sell) to the church. The possibilities are endless.
