    It’s the Passion, Stupid

    It’s the Passion, Stupid

My friend Jim Gray posted this video on his blog recently.  OK... I'm a sucker for trying new stuff, so I know I would really enjoy John's store... but when I watched the video, I couldn't get over his passion for soda pop.  And his ability to tell Pepsi-Cola what they could do with their soda.

What if all pastors and church leaders were as passionate about our work as John is a about soda pop?

Mmmmmm. Soda pop in so many flavors.

      Hebrews 13:16
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

      Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Christians were as passionate about fidelity to Scripture and spreading the Gospel to everyone in the world.?  We would usher in His kingdom and be a part of impacting this world with the truth of the Gospel message.

But on second thought, perhaps we should just keep it to ourselves.  After all, we don’t want to offend.  Better yet, let’s change it up a little and make it about you, your life, your health, your wealth, and your prosperity and sucess.  I’ll bet we could fill churches full of people who want to hear that message!  Oh, wait….
