    Playboy to Feature 3D Centerfold

    Playboy to Feature 3D Centerfold

Not to be outdone by LifeChurch.tv's Porn Event, Hugh Hefner has announced that Playboy will soon feature their first 3D centerfold.  According to a report in Mashable, the centerfold will appear in the June issue which hits newstands this Friday.

Also according to the Mashable article:

Consider this a grab for attention more than anything; Playboy editorial director Jimmy Jellinek was quoted by MSNBC saying, “In today’s print environment you have to create newsstand events.” The environment he’s talking about is one in which Playboy circulation has dropped almost 60% in just four years.

The really interesting part of the article (for me) was that Hugh Hephner actually took 3D pictures of naked women back in the 1950s but decided against running the images when he found out how expensive it would be to include the 3D glasses with each copy of the magazine.  Hugh's smart though... he found a sponsor to pay for the glasses this time:  HBO, who's using the opportunity to promote a new show.

I guess that means it's time to organize a boycott against HBO (again).  We'd probably organize a group of Christians to boycott Playboy, but no one would ever admit that any Christian ever looked at that (except for the articles).

I honestly don’t see a boycott of either coming out of this.  It’s more like, “Oh, look.  Playboy’s doing something again.  Oh, well.”

Now, Comedy Central’s upcoming, “JC,” show?  Yeah, that one has more potential.

      CS,

I was actually joking about the boycott thing.  It was my lame attempt at humor.

You know, Christians only read Playboy for the article, and got to Hooters for the wings.

Ah, now I get it.  Kind of like how Christians only go to Vegas for the prostitutes.

      ...

      D’oh!  =)

      Doh… snap…

Hugh Hefner is one of the most sad and lost people I’ve ever seen.

We don’t make decisions because we have become lazy.  We don’t make the hard decisions every day.  The work ethic is almost a thing of the past.  Character is “making the right decision, no mater who is watching”.  If we have a government that is going to control and give us everything, then why do I have to make those hard decisions.
