Open Your Eyes to the REAL “Message”

What The Message does refer to Jesus 77 times is the title “Master Jesus.” This is a New Age term.

    Your thoughts?

Did you know… The King James Bible refers to Jesus as "Lord Jesus" about 115 times. The New King James Bible uses this term about the same amount of times and the New American Standard about 100 times. How many times does Eugene Peterson's The Message use the phrase "Lord Jesus"? None! Not once. Never! (Check it out at (http://www.biblegateway.com)

A translation is a paraphrase and a paraphrase is a translation. There has never been a completely “word for word” translation of the Bible made ever. EVER!

Otherwise there would be a “the” before almost every noun in the Bible and on top of that the word order would be unreadable.

I continue to dislike the Message for any serious usage and do not use it myself, but I totally reject the notion that it is deceptive or even dangerous.
