I had a great time on vacation last week and actually was able to score some tickets to see The Late Show with David Letterman. Special guests included Katie Couric and U2! Yes, that's right... Bono and U2 were there, and we got to sit third row center for the performance. It was awesome. Here's the show clip of "Bono and Me". I'm the dorky one seeing myself on TV and pointing to the monitor.

Todd, that was a great 12 seconds! You’ve got 14 minutes and 48 seconds left.
Sincerely,

Is that a weakness of blogs and social networking? Sometimes we don’t fully enjoy the experience because we are consumed with the technology or thinking about how we are going to be perceived when others see it later. I recently learned of a mixer hosted by a local college ministry. Rather than PARTICIPATING in the event, the majority of the students had out their cell phones so that they could CAPTURE the event and post it to Facebook. I know I have personally missed out on blessings because I was too busy contemplating, “how can I use this in a class, sermon, coaching opportunity, etc”

Dave,
No… not at all… it was just me being a dork.
Don’t overthink it.

Todd,
I was actually watching the broadcast of Letterman last week and thought…that guy looks like Todd Rhoades! Knowing you were on vacation, I was hoping you were able to score tickets.

Todd,
You are a dork, but had I been there I would have been a dork too!

Unlike some bloggers, I’m not afraid to admit my dorkiness!
Thanks, Derek!

There’s a new item for your resume “Appeared on the Letterman show with Bono.” Kudos!

Let all the Dork-men unite!
Yeah, self-awareness is a good thing. We are no Christian hipsters. http://www.mondaymorninginsight.com/images/smileys/grin.gif

Todd:
I agree it is hard for us to discern when God is speaking to us, whether to us directly, or through another, whether the person call themselves prophet or not.
Even though this is a hard word to receive, I lean more toward heeding it, than ignoring it.
Quote from A.A. Tozer, “If you’ve never heard God say anything hard, I doubt you’ve ever heard Him say anything at all.”
