Ahhh... our friend Steven Anderson. Let's just say he doesn't like the President. And if you don't like THAT, then you can... well, I'll let him tell you what you can do.
Kinda takes the punch out of seeker sensitive, doesn't it?
Try this on Sunday morning. See how far it gets you.
Todd

Wow. Is this the same guy that preached about ‘peeing against the wall?” This guy has really crossed the line. He needs an intervention - seriously.

Isn’t this guy on tap for THE NINES? Sign him up!

The hate coming out of that man. I have encountered many with this attitude. I was no fan of Bush 2, and I disagreed with the choice of the tax money being used to “promote democracy” around the world. But that is a guy who wants his own way, and will do anything to keep “his” church pure.
He needs to remember that it is Jesus’ Church! NOT HIS!

Is this the same fellow who talked about NewSpring Church & Perry Noble being of the devil along with the NIV Bible?

Yes, he’s all these, as well as the guy who was tazed at the US/Mexico border for refusing to comply with the border agents’ requests.

I agree with Matt… Can we please have him at the nines? PLEASE!

It’s really funny that some pastors were pushing the “Under Cover” teaching of John Bevere in their churches. The basis of the teaching is to follow and respect your “leader” even if he is wrong because all leadership comes from God. That was all fine as long as Bush was in office, but now that it’s Obama they have changed their tune. Now it’s OK to speak evil of the highest leader of our country…just make sure you don’t speak against your pastor because he is God’s annointed!!!
Get the “hell” out of “my” church?
I used to cuss like a sailor (literally) and those words don’t just pop out of my mouth now. Why would they pop out of a pastors mouth like that?

Maybe when fred phelps dies he can take over as the hater-in-chief at westboro baptist.

Hmmm… he would be and interesting NINES guest. Not that he’d ever accept the invitation if were to be offered. Can you imagine his rant against poor Todd

Poor Steven. He put the"egal” in legalism. Help him, Jesus.

This poor guy is completely delusional. I’m thinking he needs an intervention of the Holy Spirit. It’s no wonder the church has lost her power when we have guys like this preaching.
Of course, it doesn’t speak well of “his” church either that they allow him to remain. It’s just sad.

Who’s church is it? Todd, I’m not shocked or surprised by anything any more.

Sick.

This sort of thing is unacceptable from a man who claims to be a preacher of the Gospel.
I also heard Perry Noble of Newspring say almost the exact same thing (“get the hell out of my church”) with the same (or similar) meaning for the same (or similar) purpose in a sermon.
I don’t listen to him anymore either.
Matt Parkins on Mon, August 31, 2009
Yeah he shouldn’t have said it, but he probably had a really bad night and morning leading up to that.
Can any of you backseat Pastors give the guy some grace? I imagine few of you have much of an idea of the pressures churches put their pastors under.
Pastor Matt
