Proceeds from sales of the calendar will benefit construction of SonRise UMC's new building, at 421 S. Spaulding Ave., in Pueblo West, where the Rev. Susan Plymel is pastor.
This isn't, of course, a "Girls of the Methodist Church" sort of calendar. The women ministers, from the Methodists' Rocky Mountain Conference that includes all parts of Colorado - and even a district in Utah and another embracing Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado - got together in their various geographical areas to pose for the pictures, some of which are a bit humorous, some pastoral as in the fields and mountains, and others of which are pastoral as in standing around an altar and Bible.
A total of 92 clergywomen posed for the pictures in various locations.
The Rev. Kim James, pastor of Wesley UMC at 85 Stanford Ave., was among the motivators who spearheaded the effort, and pastors from her own Sunshine District posed for two pictures, and therefore may be dubbed "Rev. Ms. April and October."
