    Snakes in the Pulpit!!

The Reuben Armstrong Show airs on Streaming Faith which is the largest Christian based website in the world and broadcasts in eight states and on TV around the World. Armstrong will release a new book titled “Snakes in the Pulpit.” The book is scheduled for release on August 29th, 2007. Armstrong will be sending a certified letter to these four pastors asking them to resign from their positions as Pastors because they are “deceiving true believers.”

In “Snakes in the Pulpit” Armstrong states, “...these four pastors are using the word of God to manipulate the true believers for fame and fortune.” This book will expose the deception that these four “pulpit pimps”, as Armstrong defines them in his book, are using the word of God to get rich and support their royal family. According to Armstrong, these mega-pastors have deceived thousands and thousands of people and yet are raking millions and millions of dollars from their extremely large congregations.

There are several mega-churches that are featured on national TV and radio that have spawned a new type of celebrity: “Mega-pastors.” These men have risen in stature and gained the public’s trust as irreproachable men of God as their churches have attracted hundreds of thousands of members and millions of viewers and listeners.

“Judgement day is coming: their status nor money won’t get them to heaven,” Armstrong said.

I love press releases. Well, I should say... I love to read press releases, especially Christian ones, because sometimes they just seem so jaded and/or out of context, that they make me smile. Here's one from "Streaming Faith". Who is "Streaming Faith"? I'm glad you asked. They are the "largest Christian based website IN THE WORLD". Plus, they broadcast in EIGHT states (that's nearly 1/5 of the whole United States!). OK... that said, here's a press release from one of their big stars: Reuben Armstrong (of the Reuben Armstong show, of course)...

i believe jesus is the only way. he is the only one who died and rose again as the lamb of god. and i give no excuse for what i say, that is the trouble today, people wants to hedge around the truth, and as long as we hedge or compromise the truth ,we do not take a firm stand for our lord, of course we do not judge sinners , god said he did that, but he also said if it is a matter in the church let the less estemed judge the matter, i do not believe the people he mentioned are snakes,

The problem with people today in the church is that if these men and women who call themselves of God are expose, those who follow them don’t want to see truth, because of all the fiction that their getting. Many in the church like to be entertained, instead of being feed the Word of God, so they buy into this junk that the megapastor is putting out. When the bible is oopen in most of these churches, its only to promote their unholy cause. I ask the lady Simaka, not to judge the one who is asking you to see what is going on, ask God to show you the truth. He doesn’t leave us in darkness. We start giving these men and women to much praise and not the Lord Jesus Christ, then we have made them gods and turned against our True and Living God. I want to know what God is saying to me in His Holy Word, not what these megapastor are saying. We need to get back to the foundation of Christianity and what it really is all about. It’s not about the riches of this life, its about salvation of the sinner. When will these men and women start preaching that message? It doesn’t bring them the money that they crave because that message puts Christ first, not the almighty dollar…

It’s never wrong to judge between good and evil. It’s called discerning between good and evil. We make judgements each and everyday. I saw that one person wrote a comment quoting Matthew 7:1. I wish you would have read all the way through verse five. It would give you the full picture of what Jesus was saying. We as the church have been taught that it is wrong to judge, but it is okay to judge, if you judge rightly, which is by the Word of God. For some reason, we have been taught to believe that touching God’s anointed was speaking out against the leadership. When David made that statement, he was saying that he was not going to kill Saul. If you read the story and see for yourself, you will notice that he still addressed Saul, because he saw that Saul was wrong for pursuing him!

Look in Acts 5:29, when the men of God were told by the religious leaders to do something that was clearly wrong. Notice their response; we should obey God rather than man. No, we don’t condemn, because we don’t have a heaven or a hell to put anyone in, but to say that something is not right and to point it out; that’s a duty. Is there ever a time that we are not to speak the truth? You see, the truth may hurt, but lies hurt worse. It’s very niave for anyone to take things simply at face value. NO one is above being corrected, no matter what their title is. To even say that people in the church are not accountable to anyone, but God, is wrong. I’m saying that people in leadership in the church are to be held even more accountable not only by the people that they lead, but also by God. It’s even more ridiculous to see human beings as infallible. There is lot of misguided loyalty in the church. I am just amazed at the extent that people are willing to go to protect someone’s “image”, even if they are wrong. It’s like a celebrity; image is everything. Whatever has to be done to keep the image whether right or wrong, do it. Touch not my anointed is used by a lot of people to keep people from exposing the truth about things. This has given so many a license to abuse people all in the Name of the Lord.
