I judge Ed based on the fruit I see this man produce. his fruit is not Christ bearing fruit. He is a wolf.
His “sermons” are nothing but man centered self help babble.
He peddles the Gospel for profit.
He’s steals money from the very God he claims he serves.
he also steals money from people who tithe at his church.
He is a False Preacher, a Charlatan, a Thief and a Liar.
Also, People who DARE question him are called “haters” I guess that would make Jesus a “hater” too since he’d def. have some questions he’d want Ed Young to answer.
How about instead of Defending EY, start defending God and HIS word.

One of the biggest problems with your statement Jessica is found in the first three words.
I Judge Ed…
Another problem is that you fill in the rest of you statement with opinions that you somehow equate with truth.
Christopher Fontenot on Thu, July 15, 2010
Leonard…You don’t seem to like the idea that Jessica judges yet while stating your opposition to her judgment of Ed Young you make yourself to be a hypocrite because you did the same with Joel Osteen. You said that “his church sees numerous people come to Christ…” and don’t know this to be true. You seem to be ok with judging people as saved but not ok with judging people as false teachers by the Word of God. Jesus told us the parable of the sower to show us that not everyone who claims to be a Christian is in fact a Christian. Not everyone who stands in a pulpit is a Christian either. Names like Todd Bentley and Jim Jones come to mind. There is NOTHING wrong with judging as long as we judge righteously and not according to appearance. (John 7:24)
So how do we judge righteously? BY THE WORD OF GOD! Joel Osteen, Ed Young Jr., TD Jakes and the like APPEAR to be Godly yet by the Word of God they fail the test.
Jessica….your discernment seems Biblical to me….good job and don’t be discouraged.
Leonard on Thu, July 15, 2010
CF,
If you are using the biblical word Judge… it means condemn.
What I did is nothing like that. Nice try.
Jessica did not use biblical judgement, she used opinion of Ed Young. There was not scripture used in her assessment, just opinion. There are some people out there who are heretics, I agree. I just don’t think Ed young is one.

Leonard, This man makes a mockery of Jesus and his precious blood. I have never been to his church, But I have watched Youtube videos where he says that he is the CEO of the church and the franchise player. I also watched the series, “sexual revolution” on Youtube and he mentioned that the “church is the second best place in the universe to learn about sex” and that “sex is the superglue of marriage”. etc. anyways, when his money scandal came out in the open, he basically lied about almost everything.
in another video I watched, he mentions that people who question his motives, he calls them “haters”.
also, If you go to the fellowship website under the Giving page (Tithing) this is what it says:
If a cash gift donation is not an option for you please consider these other gift giving ideas:
*Stocks
*Bonds
*Jewelry
*Coin Collections
*Land
*Cars
*Homes
not to mention the non sense videos like this one he makes.
The 2008 Easter Youtube videos promoting their Easter services really made my blood boil.
There are several videos like this one on his Youtube page:
U.B.U.
Whoop Bass
The Cussing Pastor
Like Chris said, just because someone is standing behind the pulpit preaching from the Bible, that does not mean that they are a Christian.
Look at Matt Baker (Not comparing the two), he was the former Waco area pastor who killed his wife Kari back in 2006.
Texas Monthly has a very good article about him. Or you can just Google his name.

I like the honesty of it. In a lland where the $ is worshiped… may as well replace the cross with a gigantic dollar sign. You go homeboy!
Really!!! how lacking in basic good taste :-(

I feel sad for all of the people who still attend Fellowship, ( I know a couple who does). If Ed Young REALLY cared for his congregation, he would not have T.D. Jakes (Who denies the Trinity) up there talking. He also would not be stealing their money and using it for his own personal usage. He does not care about them at all. he only cares about what HE gets from them.
That’s not a pastor, that’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
When will God put a stop to all of this?

Leonard:
“If you are using the biblical word Judge it means condemn.”
Actually, there’s three words in the New Testament for judge—krino, anakrino, and dokimazo. The primary definitions of the first are:
1) to separate, put asunder, to pick out, select, choose
2) to approve, esteem, to prefer
3) to be of opinion, deem, think, to be of opinion
4) to determine, resolve, decree
5) to judge
a) to pronounce an opinion concerning right and wrong
So when someone like Jessica makes such a proclamation, it is not to say, “his eternal salvation is in question,” so much as to say, “this man is a false teacher and we should be wary of what he says, does, and teaches.”

Over 200 years ago, Charles Spurgeon wrote this…
““In reference to ministers, many church members are indifferent as to the personal piety of the preacher; what they want is talent or cleverness. What the man preaches does not matter now; he must draw a crowd, or please the elite, and that is enough. Cleverness is the main thing. One would think they were looking for a conjurer rather than a pastor. Whether he preaches truth or error, the man is held in admiration so long as he can talk glibly, and keep up a reputation as a speaker.”
I thought it fitting here!

Seems thats how our current President got elected.
as far as Ed Young is concerened—He is not my Pastor, Mentor, Friend. But he is a brother in Christ. Just as every born again person is (well sister if you are a girl.)
So we have continued praying for you ever since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you a complete understanding of what he wants to do in your lives, and we ask him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and you will continually do good, kind things for others. All the while, you will learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with his glorious power so that you will have all the patience and endurance you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father, who has enabled you to share the inheritance that belongs to God’s holy people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the one who rules in the kingdom of darkness, and he has brought us into the Kingdom of his dear Son. God has purchased our freedom with his blood and has forgiven all our sins.
You can always ask God to move in his life Here I will help you. Pray this for Ed Young Jr.

Such a line head in the coming decades may be more audience, zentai like the bit from some of their star began, such as GAGA Miss (just guessing, after all, many of her wardrobe has gone beyond catsuits), and if the current fashion trend of people dress up more and more unpredictable, and exaggeration of the design seems only to rise. But this so-called "second skin" is really so comfortable, and perhaps only people tried to know the answer.

Ummm….. How can Ed Young Jr. be a Brother in Christ when he does stuff like this?????
Everything about this man (That I have seen) screams “Wolf” to me.
Just because Ed Young Jr. and others like him APPEAR to be God Fearing Christian Ministers does not mean they are.
Would You consider Joel Osteen a Brother in Christ too even though on Larry King he Denied the Lord THREE times?
Leonard on Tue, July 20, 2010
Brian, good word. Sad part is that as right as you are, it will always be followed up with a comment like Jessica’s.
