Hey... I'm just kind of playing around with some new technology. There is so much that is new in the area of video online, and I'm testing out a new website program called oodoo. Maybe some of you have used it. Anyway... if you have a webcam and would like to help me do some testing, please continue...
Oovoo.com is kind of a marriage between and instant message program and video chat. In other words, you can email voice messages to people; you can leave an instant messenger style voice message for people; and you can video chat with up to 5 other people at a time.
This could turn out to be a great collaboration tool, but I need some help in testing it out.
If you’re interested, here’s what you’d have to do:
1. Go to http://www.oovoo.com and download the free software. (It downloads very quickly)
2. Add me as a friend. My username is ‘mondaymorninginsight’. Go figure.
3. Try and send me a video message using oovoo.
4. In the next few days, I may try to set up a conference call just to try out the free video conferencing capability.
I’m assuming that you’ll need to have a pretty high speed internet access to be able to really use this service.
If you’re going to give it a try, please email me at and let me know.
Thanks!
Todd

Except it doesn’t have a Mac version yet. Bummer, I love experiments.
I’m also bummed they don’t have a Mac version. Oh well, I’ll have to stick with good ole reliable iChat.
