Benny Hinn Ministries is letting go about 60 call-center employees at its Grapevine headquarters. The work of taking calls for prayer requests and book and tape orders will soon be outsourced. Spokesman Ronn Torossian says it's not an economy measure. "The biggest issue is simply our ability to handle the incredible call volume at the hours and times it comes in from throughout the world," he said.
The laid-off workers will get severance packages and help finding new jobs, he added.

yeah but has he outsourced his hair? Well what am I talking about he has hair.
I find it hard to comment on this individual and his “ministry” without using bad words… He makes me more than a little angry…
Outsourcing to who and where? If they’re not going to be talking to someone from the ministry, is a Christian calling in to request prayer going to be speaking to a Christian? If they’re outsourcing to a secular call center they can’t guarantee that callers won’t be talking to an atheist, or a Muslim or Buddhist or Wiccan, etc. And are they outsourcing just the call taking or are they also outsourcing the prayer? Is anyone actually going to be reading and praying over these prayer requests, or is all they’re interested ion the orders for tapes and books?
This is a bad, bad idea, but not a surprising move if the ministry is all about the money $$
When you call the machine picks up and you hear this:
If you want a miracle, press extension 777 and make a donation in that amount.
If you want prayer, press extension 555 and and donate that amount.
If you want a healing, press extension 999 and donate that amount.
If you are calling to make a donation press 0, one of our operators are standing by.
See Peter, no bad words and I will teach you how for a donation of…
hey Todd, you feelin’ better yet?
Feeling better… finally! How can I not, with stories like this one!
Todd
Now see...if I was employee...I would had started a company and started taking the calls…
Leonard,
How about
“If you want Benny Hinn to just go away, pound 666...” Just a joke… lighten up a bit. Hey Todd, how come you didn’t save this one for Friday?
Daniel R,
Your question is good, but from what I’ve heard from people who’ve seen Benny up close and personal, maybe it doesn’t matter if the person people call is a Christian. Take that as you will.
Outsourcing prayer? What’s next? Miracles, preaching, teaching, music. Hmmmm. Think of the ministry opportunites...O, is it Friday?
1 word Nutty
Maybe he should just outsource all “ministry” and go away.
Sometimes I feel so embarassed…
How would you like to know that you have given money to this ministry and now your money you gave to help people is going for a severance package so they can out source their paryer line
on my oh my oh my.................................
It’s not for economic reasons? Give me a break. I used to work for an outsourcing consulting company - it’s the only reason you outsource. Then again, what was I thinking? Of course it’s about the money.
