I signed up for this offer thinking it might be something good. After not receiving an acknowledgement of my request i made a call to the company and was told that yes they had gotten the email signing us up but they did not know how soon they would be responding because they were still working out some of the details. My initital thought was and still is that if you are going to mass mail an offer such as this that everything should be in place and ready to roll.

Will the screenings be available for a limited number of viewers (staff) or for the church audience on a regular weekend service?

Will the church have the ability/right to record (DVR included or on another media?) the screening?

Will the church have the right to edit the content for use as a sermon illustration?

Will the church have the right to promote the screening to the community at large or only internally to the congregation or only to staff?

Will the church have the right to use any of the video, audio or images for use in duplication, streaming (online) or archive (offline or online)?

I signed up for it, too. We’ve had great success here with screenings in the local theater of Christian films. We have a great guy in our congregation who works hard to make them happen. This could be a great tool in that department.

I just want to know does it get ESPN and HBO and Ultimate Fighting Championship Pay Per View.

I just got off the phone with the president of Edify Media, the PR firm for FoxFaith. He has answered all of the questions, and I wanted to share them with the MMI list:

Will the screenings be available for a limited number of viewers (staff) or for the church audience on a regular weekend service?

This is the only question they don’t have an answer on yet. Most likely, it will be only for the church staff leadership (limited to one or two people) as they want the leader to then decide if it’s a film they’d like to promote to their church. Again, this is not the official answer as it’s still in process.

Will the church have the ability/right to record (DVR included or on another media?) the screening?

No.

Will the church have the right to edit the content for use as a sermon illustration?

No.

Will the church have the right to promote the screening to the community at large or only internally to the congregation or only to staff?

Limited staff only, at the moment.

Will the church have the right to use any of the video, audio or images for use in duplication, streaming (online) or archive (offline or online)?

No. A seperate media kit might be made available, but has not been determined yet.

He told me that FoxFaith would not only say “no” to the duplication, editing or recording of the pre-screen release, but that’s exactly what they don’t want to have happen.
