Does he really have a pony tail?  I would have thought he’d be the last person to have one - too rebellious and hippy-like… I’ve kinda got a rule - bald people shouldn’t wear pony tails.  At least it’s a rule for me!

Anyway, “This Was Your Life” was the first exposure to the gospel I ever had, at about 7 or 8 years old, and it had a profound effect on me.

I can’t stand 99.999999% of what he does, but at least in this one case, God used it.

But God can even use the preaching of the gospel by people who don’t really love Christ and only want to cause trouble (Phil. 1).

Will he be in the same place as the wackos from Westboro Baptist Church?

I agree with you Chet, even if it is a parody, Hell isn’t something to joke about.

Those Chick Publication tracts would be more effective if they would stick to simple evangelism.  Unfortunately, Chick tied the Pope to Hitler (and other far-fetched conspiracies) and appeared to go off the deep end.  No telling where he’ll stop.  These conspiracy theories did more to damage his reputation among believers than anything else.  What a shame, unbelievers will look at these tracts and laugh at Christians, when in fact, we have the words of Life!  Jn.6:68

Hmmm… that comment brings to mind Gandhi’s quote, “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”

I realize that many Christians like “The Door,” because they’re not afraid to touch difficult subjects and they’re not afraid to raise controversy, and I applaud any publication, Christian or otherwise for doing so.  However, that being said, I’m old enough and mature enough to recognize that to simply be loud, outspoken, controversial, etc, doe not necessarily make someone prophetic.  While I can certainly picture the Old Testament prophets and or Jesus condemning someone to hell, I certainly can not picture the O.T. prophets or Jesus as making fun of someone going to hell.

Oh, get a sense of humor.  Given that many sites featuring Chick’s cartoons are blocked by my network as “Hate Speech”, I think the satire is rather funny.

Is it funny that some people will reject Jesus Christ and will go to hell?  No, it’s not funny but it is a fact.  And I suspect that if Jack Chick were in charge of deciding who goes to heaven and who goes to hell, he’d be saving fewer and sending a lot more people to hell.

“Get a sense of humor” is one of those quotes that never seems quite so funny to the person who tried to share something sincerely in their hearts.
