Within ten minutes of getting an email from Bobby Gruenewald from LifeChurch.tv announcing their new YouVersion offering, I got an email from Tony Morgan at NewSpring telling me that their new NewSpring Ministries website is up and running. According to Tony: The NewSpring team has been working feverishly behind the scenes to bring you new resources and training opportunities. Today we're officially launching the beta version of the NewSpring Ministries website. Here's what you'll find on the site...
Tony continues…
Series bundles including the series print pieces, a message intro video, the audio of each message, the outline of the flow for each service and the message outlines.
--Message bundles for those who only want the MP3s of the sermon, the message outlines and the service outlines.
--Video openers in .mpg files that were used to introduce the message. The videos are 4:3 aspect ratio and may be letterboxed depending on content. Just in case you’re wondering, they don’t include the audio because of copyright protections but we share what songs we used.
--Graphics that were used for each series. They’re downloadable as layered PDF files.
--Roadmaps that include the order of service outline and the message outline.
--Ministry downloads are documents that are used at NewSpring, both within the office and for church members. They include the various operational handbooks, volunteer resources and basic office forms.
Here’s the fun news. All of these resources can be downloaded immediately without any shipping charges. Oh...here’s one more thing...they’re all FREE.
Todd inserts: SHUT UP! Free? Tony’s lost his mind. No, really… I love open source and people like LifeChurch.tv; National Community; Seacoast; and now NewSpring that are providing FREE resources for the local church. OK… back to Tony:
And, that’s not all. Let me tell you about a couple of training events that we’re offering in the coming months.
All Access—This is your opportunity to visit NewSpring and discover for yourself what it takes to pull off a Sunday service. Through this experience you will have the opportunity to attend a worship service, tour all areas related to the Sunday experience, observe the behind the scenes action, and connect with the NewSpring staff. The very first All Access experience is on October 21-22, 2007.
Unleash 2008—Yes, we’re doing it again. Last spring, 900 people attended the first Unleash Conference. Here’s how we do it. To make it easy for both staff and volunteers to attend, we keep the experience short and cheap. One day. Two sessions in the auditorium with Perry and the band. Two breakout sessions. And, if you register by September 30, you can do it for the same low price of $45 per person. At that price, we’re expecting to sell out, so you’ll want to register early to get the low rate and make sure you have a seat.
There you have it. Free resources. New behind-the-scenes event. Unleash 2008. Let us know what else we can do to help equip and encourage your ministry teams.
Thanks, Tony!
