Pastorblog.com has a list of some symptoms that may lead down the road to burnout in ministry. I thought it was a great list (originated from David Yearick). Take a look at this list and see if you have any of the beginning signs of ministry burnout...
Physical Burnout
Lack of proper sleep and rest
Little or no exercise
Obesity
Vitamin and mineral deficiencies
Illness
Emotional Burnout
Excessive worry
Disappointment
Self-pity
Hurt feelings
Spiritual Burnout
Pride
Fulfilling the letter and not the spirit
Moral failure
What would you add to this list? Which of these are particularly challenging for you? What do you do to fight burnout?

I'm a chronic workaholic, love to connect leaders with other leaders, and would consider myself somewhat of a 'maven'. Hopefully you'll find something here at MMI you'll like and will return often. If you want, you can find out more about me or follow my every step.

Post Your Comments:Why isn’t working too much on this list?
Yep, because Pastor’s work all the time. We never leave our jobs.
