Rob Bell and Mars Hill Host the “Isn’t She Beautiful” Conference

Word out from Mars Hill Bible Church (Bell's, not Driscoll's) of a conference featuring Rob bell described as a 'seminar for leaders celebrating the local church'. Sounds interesting...

Q: Where will this seminar take place?
A: Mars Hill Bible Church, located at 3501 Fairlanes Avenue SW, Grandville, MI 49418.

Q: Who is this seminar for?
A: Pastors, Youth Pastors, small group Pastors, Worship leaders, seminary students, college students, elders, board members, church volunteers, church planters, church staff members...etc.

Q: Will Rob Bell be speaking at Mars Hill on Sunday, January 21st?
A: Yes, Rob will be speaking on Sunday January 21st. Services start at 9am, 11am, and 6pm.

Q: How Should I plan my lodging and transportation to Mars Hill?
A: Although Mars Hill will not be able to offer direct assistance, several hotels in the Grandville, MI area are offering “Isn’t She Beautiful?” discounts. You can find these hotels here. For a list of airports in the state of Michigan as well as car rentals available at each airport, we suggest you use this as a start.

Q: When will check-in be?
A: On Sunday, check-in will be available from 5 to 6 pm and then from 7:15 to 8 pm. On Monday, when the building opens at 8 am, check-in will be available from then until 10 am. However, if you are late, someone will be on hand to check you in.

Q: Where will check-in be?
A: Check-in will take place across from the info booth, which is located near the middle of the building.

Q: Will I be able to tour the Mars Hill facilities while I am there?
A: During the second break, Monday January 22, at 5 pm, several areas of the building will be open for tours.

Q: Will the church offices be open during these two days?
A: The church offices will be closed during the seminar.

Q: Will meals be provided by Mars Hill?
A: Since there are so many restaurants located in Grandville, MI, meals will not be provided by Mars Hill. For restaurants in the vicinity of Mars Hill, we suggest you use this as a reference.

Q: Will snacks be available during the seminar?
A: Coffee and water will be available.

Q: Where will the teaching/discussion sessions with Mars Hill leaders take place?
A: The sessions will take place on Mars Hill’s campus.

Q: Will I be receiving a packet of information in the mail prior to the seminar?
A: You will receive an immediate email response at the time of your registration confirming your registration. There will be no literature sent to you about the seminar, the content of Rob’s teachings, nor any of the discussion groups previous to your arrival.

Q: Will any merchandise be available?
A: Rob’s books will be available for sale, as will Noomas and the Mars Hill Worship CD.

Q: Will Rob have any recommended readings available?
A: Book recommendations will be available that correspond to the teachings at the seminar. However, the actual books will not be available.

Q: If I do not attend this seminar, or miss one of the teachings, or miss one of the discussion sessions, will I be able to obtain an audio copy of what was said?
A: Audio and/or video copies will not be available.

Q: What will the weather be like in Grand Rapids, MI during the seminar in January?
A: The weather will be cold, with a high probability of snow, wind, and bitter rain that makes you wish you were somewhere else. This is not a seminar for the faint of heart. Grand Rapids is not for sissies.

    I do hate Michigan in the winter. And sadly, your description of January sounds about right. Oh well, I might drive across town to Mars and go to this conference. I enjoy listening to Rob teach. A hundred bucks for it is a little steep though, especially for a college kid.

    After acctually following the link you gave it is fantastic that this was the ACTUAL press release for the event and not a random FAQ made up by you......delicious.

    Or you can read Velvet Elvis and download the last batch of Mars Hill sermons and come up with your own version of the conference for free.
