When You’re Not Saddleback and You’re Up Willow Creek!

Here’s an interesting new website (thanks to Kurt Staeuble for the ‘heads-up’: The Mayberry-Driven Church It’s by a ‘couple of guys names named Dennis and Randy’ who are ministering in small churches in the great northwest. The website actually has a PODcast (audio feed) that’s really interesting. These are two guys from Southern California with a lot of larger church experience who have transplanted to rural Oregon to pastor in a small church setting. Their first PODcast caught my attention because of it’s great title.
What you'll find is a couple of guys you can relate to in your current ministry. I encourage you to give them a listen!Todd

Post Your Comments:Just listened to Dennis and Randy. What a kick! They have such a refreshing and healthy view of the church regardless of size. I once heard Rick Warren say that if you are a church of 200 in a community of 2,000 you are being far more effective than Saddleback which reaches only 2-3% of their community. Dennis and Randy are living examples of this principle.
Todd, how about asking these guys to do some guest blogging for you. They would be an excellent addition to MMI. As they mentioned in their podcast, the small church pastor’s rarely make it to center stage but often have the most effective ministry when it comes to impacting their communities.

They have a wonderful sense of humor with compassion and love for the people.
